It is a big deal for me to elbow my way through this competitive society to a well-off life. I never stop garnering wealth and reputation. What fortune means to me is what power means to a politician.
You know, fortune underlies a very favorable position that a man is crazy for. I bet I can catch belle's eyes before I take a pride in going window shopping arm in arm with her. I then have means to purchase high-quality flat and novel home appliances to build a cozy home where I stand as dominant householder and a key decision maker. Nay, I will never forget to get a fancy car that serves as a token of my social class. What an incredible changes to me! You know, I have many good friends in all trades; and hence fortune adds to my consciousness of building up worthy self esteem when I attend friend's party or go to fulfill an appointment. Yah, what's the odds of importantly in bonds, securities, foreign currency or gold or real estate. So my boss shall not imagine he can boss me around from now on. With that, you may admire me if you bring to mind the motto: The ideal state of your work is to treat your word as a joy. But I am nothing. I am only a fortune seeker in urban forest. I serve as a low-income staff in an office building, and erery day I leave home for work fairly early to pack into croeded buses which stgagger along those noisy streets. I dwell in a prestigious living district but lead a simple life. There are so many fine articles in shop window that are attractive to me but not reachable to me. But every time I catch sight of the glitter of skyscraper class of this city, I grow rays of hope of bettering myself. Don't poke fun at me if you spot your true self in me. |
