I haven’t written anything for some days because of the busy work. These days many big projects have begun to be built in Qingdao as if a spring tide is flowing. If you come to Qingdao you will hear many news about “petrochemical project” or “shipbuilding project” which has great investment, you will see many new buildings anywhere which spring up like mushrooms. Even old persons who live here for long will find the big changes everyday.
Qingdao CBD(Central Business District) that I work for was much more busy these days. Qingdao CBD is one of major projects approved by Qingdao Municipal Government to complete prior to the 29th Olympic Games Beijing. Qingdao CBD is located in Shibei District and covers a total area of 3.1 square kilometers. Planned construction floor area will be 6,500,000 square meters and total investment is predicted to reach RMB32 billion. The project of Qingdao CBD has planned to be completed within 10 years and will have comprehensive constructions and services for administration, trading, commerce, residence and amusement facilities.
In CBD Administration Office I shoulder an important task of holding business talks with companies from domestic and abroad. We have made great program in getting investment up to now. Many Multinational companies and Fortune Global 500 companies have been decided to set up regional headquarters, settlement center, procurement and distribution agents. Hutchison Whampoa Property Company belonged to Mr.Lijiacheng will build a big shopping mall in the area. The largest project is Qingdao Olympic International Business Center(IBC) which located on the central square of CBD. The IBC building is planned 60floors high, covering a building area of 200,000 square meters. After built up it will be the highest mansion in Shandong province. Several years later you will find a new city standing on our CBD area. Up to that time I will be in my sixties and I will say proudly that I had done little job for all this.
These days the weather was great cold here which is said the coldest days in the year. But I feel a little warm of spring. This is a spring tide , this is a developing tide!
